Project 03 / Estate Fencing

Te Matuku Peninsula Conservation Estate

At the 167-hectare Te Matuku Peninsula estate on Waiheke Island, Fence Force spent three months repairing existing fences to stockproof condition, installing new wire-and-batten fencing and setting up OneFarm steel stockyards. The team coordinated 70 tonnes of materials transported by barge, including hundreds of posts and strainers and kilometres of wire.

This is the job

Making a 167-hectare estate stockproof.

The Te Matuku Peninsula project centred on making existing fences stockproof across a large Waiheke Island property.

Fence Force repaired existing fencing and installed new wire-and-batten fencing where required, alongside new OneFarm steel stockyards.

Island logistics formed a major part of the work, with around 70 tonnes of materials carried over by barge during the three-month programme.

Built for real ground

An island project with major logistics.

A fencing programme this large required more than getting posts and wire onto the property.

Fence Force coordinated barge transport for around 70 tonnes of materials, including hundreds of posts and strainers and kilometres of wire.

Once on site, the work focused on restoring stockproof boundaries and installing the new fencing and stockyards needed for property management.

The build

Stockproof boundaries. Functional yards.

The team worked through existing fence lines to repair and improve stockproofing, added new wire-and-batten fencing where required, and installed OneFarm steel stockyards.

What this project shows

Capability you can actually see.

The Te Matuku job demonstrates the coordination needed to deliver major fencing work on an island estate, from freight logistics to usable stockyards and stockproof fence lines.
